“In my opinion, the best way to achieve your first 100 customers would be to simply go out there and talk to people, face-to-face. I started my business out by doing magic demos for citizens at retirement communities on the weekend. I would do tricks for them right up front and foster that kind of relationship with people.”

Three pieces of advice from Michael

‘Mainly, I think about how I am able to help someone with my services instead of simply trying to sell something. So, look at how you can help your customers with their problems first, and you’ll foster that sense of trust – they’ll want to help you out in return. Next, cultivate a good routine of habits so that it can complement your business. The last piece of advice? Find someone that has done what you’re trying to do. In other words, find a mentor.”
