How Alex Young Grew His Business

Back when I had the clothing company, it didn’t take off as well as I initially thought it would. We got our first 100 customers primarily through Facebook Ads and marketing online. Looking back, it made me believe that I was actually spamming people. In any case, I made money, but it didn’t make me fulfilled – I saw it as a money grab, so I eventually stopped it. As for podcast listeners, that was more organic; I shared it in my channels and encouraged my guests to share it in their own channels. The ginger beer was really easy – I initially gave out free samples, then we ended up with many requests afterward. As a result, we sold out really easily. Another business ended up with me making cold calls and going door to door to obtain customers.

Three pieces of Advice from Alex Young

Firstly, continue taking one step at a time in your journey; don’t necessarily become scared of the unknown. Keep on stepping. Number two: Take action, especially when you don’t feel like doing so. Don’t let your emotions dictate your actions. Lastly, try to live a meaningful life and do things that align with your personal values and make you feel fulfilled.
