Now, I can say this is a rather impulsive episode. It’s something that I have been thinking about while looking at my personal social media feeds and also interacting with other business others.
When a problem happens within your business, what do you do? How do you act?
Are you the type that is constantly asking for things, but rarely receiving?
This could be in the form of sales, connections, or even positivity.
I’ve seen tons of my friends asking for sales online, practically begging. It’s not a good look.
When a primarily young business owner encounters a problem within their business or within their experience with a company, their first reaction is to get paranoid and either cancel a contract or create a public scene.
Again, this can be in the form of a Facebook rant or just randomly cancelling of a service without any real reason.
Think of it this way, if you were to go to a restaurant and you ordered a steak. It wasn’t done exactly the way you wanted it. How do you act? Do you send it back and ask for another, do you storm out of the restaurant, or do you make a scene?
I’d like to say more often than not, you’re understanding and willing to receive another steak right?
So why are we like this within our own businesses.
I’ve rationalized this a bit and what I realized is that it comes from ego and insecurities within yourself or your business.
Paranoia and this sudden insecurities are you in a momentary state of mind and not a chronic condition.
To fix this, it comes from one real solution. Understanding yourself and understanding your businesses metrics both in and out.
It takes growth, patience, understanding, and time to over come insecurities in business. Are you willing to wait it out or do you actively have a plan to change?
