My dream is to make my kids proud and actually inspire them to take control of their lives. If you have asked me this about 2 years ago, I would have said something along the lines of “to have the biggest show ever” and such; it was all about me, actually. But now, I think about my kids and I’m trying to teach them that they don’t have to settle for some mundane job in an office; they can spend their time to do whatever they want in order to provide for themselves. I don’t want them to be like I was, being in said office 20+ years ago, only getting a paycheck. I’m trying to tech that they can blend work and fun, and have a life.
First of all, start as soon as possible. It doesn’t have to big at first, but it has to be SOMETHING. The longer you take to start, the harder you’ll realize it is to start on your idea, due to being completely clueless about things; they could even be things you didn’t know that you didn’t know. Also, with every new venture, there comes a point where you’ll need money to continue – you WILL have money issues starting out. As soon as you begin your venture, try to save a percentage of your eventual earnings. That way, you can re-invest it into the business and continue to grow it. My last piece of advice would be don’t compare yourself to more than 2 people in your desired industry, or at the very least, observe others in your niche that are better than you. You can pick up some very subtle, but useful tricks and strategies that you can apply to your own business.
